Empowering the youth in Masiphumelele through music education

We are dedicated to providing free, quality music education to aspiring violinists in the community of Masiphumelele, starting from the age of 7 and upwards. Our mission is to instill a love for music, fostering creativity, emotional stability, intellectual development, and self-value through the enchanting world of the violin.

Providing Free Quality Music Education For The Masiphumelele Community.

We see the potential in every individual.

By offering free group violin lessons as an extracurricular activity, we aim to create a more inclusive and diverse music sector. Currently, we are proud to teach 64 children every Monday and Thursday afternoon. Our classes not only provide musical education but also serve as a space for social inclusion and cohesion.

Hear-First Method: Making Music Together from the Beginning.

At Masi Violin Outreach, we employ a hear-first method that ensures children are making music from the very beginning. Our students, grouped by age and level, play popular melodies, classical music, and contemporary African tunes arranged in three and four parts. This approach not only helps in learning but also ensures we are making music together, fostering a spirit of unity.
