By serving the youth in the community of Masiphumelele we provide access to quality music education and create a more inclusive and diverse music sector.
We offer free group violin lessons as an extra curricular activity to children from the ages of 6 upwards. Our students receive their own violin, learn music from a variety of genres and perform at events around Cape Town.
We currently teach 64 children and classes run every Monday and Thursday afternoon.
The classes offer a space where social inclusion and cohesion manifest through working together. Through music we foster creativity, emotional stability, development of intellectual capacity and self-value.
